$40 per person | Afternoon Experience | Departure from Last Villages Museum
Join See-Way More and storyteller and historian Jim Brownell, President of the Lost Villages Historical Society, for a meaningful journey through history. This 4-hour guided step-on tour explores the poignant story of the villages lost to the St. Lawrence Seaway project of 1958. Hear powerful accounts of the communities that once thrived here and see the landmarks and landscapes that still tell their story.
Narrated Drive Along Highway 2
Travel west along historic Highway 2 toward Morrisburg, tracing the path of the Lost Villages. Jim brings the past to life with stories of Mille Roches, Moulinette, Wales, Aultsville, Dickinson’s Landing, Farran’s Point, and other communities displaced by the Seaway.
Along the way, take in river views and roadside markers, while Jim shares stories of families, businesses, schools, and churches that once formed the heart of these communities. Time permitting, we may pause briefly at select landmarks for photos and interpretation.
